October Prayer Focus
True Identity In Christ
The following biblical affirmations about our identity in Jesus Christ are derived from selected passages of scripture in the New Testament. These verses teach a portion of the many truths about who we are and who we become through faith in God’s Son.
Each day (if praying privately) or during each meeting (if used at a small group) read through all 42 statements out loud. Ponder which affirmations resonate with you the most. Reflect upon which seem the most remote to your experience. Before you begin praying, select 5-10 affirmations that you want to become a greater reality in your life. Pray for a deeper understanding of what it means to live as this person. Pray for our church and community in the same way.
