Meet the Team

LEAD PASTOR – STEVE FISH

My wife Dana and I have five children, Christopher, Elizabeth, Alieshia, Jenessa, and Laura. I have served as a pastor since 1996 and as the lead pastor at North Cascades Christian Fellowship since August of 2007.

Personally; I enjoy skiing, boxing, reading, computers, and coffee at Starbucks. My true passion is the local church. I believe the local church is the hope of the world, and is the chief means by which God has chosen to spread the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ. I believe that God intended to use relationships to build His Church. So I think you could get to know me better over a cup of coffee… at Starbucks of course!

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY DIRECTOR – CASSA WING

My educational background is in elementary education and reading. I finished my degree at Western Washington University in 2005. Since that time I’ve been teaching and coaching in the Sedro Woolley and Burlington school districts. Now, I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with kids and share the word of God with them!

I like theater, playing soccer, swimming, reading a good book, traveling, playing games with friends, singing, watching movies, and doing things outdoors! My husband, Clay, and I were married in 2001. We have been blessed with a beautiful daughter, Aria Blair, born August 3, 2009. Of course, I love kids and have a lot of fun teaching, playing with, and getting to know them.

Jesus commanded in Luke 18:16: “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” I dedicated my life to Christ as a child and greatly cherish my ever growing relationship with Him. I wish the same for you and your children. Please come and join us on Sundays, during the week at AWANA, or stop by my office at the church. I’d love to see you!

PASTORAL CARE AND FAMILY MINISTRY – PHIL AND DARLENE BROOKS

We have been married for 47 years and have 3 married children and 6 grandchildren. Phil has been in pastoral ministry for 25 years and the last 15 we have ministered together in Family Ministries. Truly our passion is to serve the Lord in the area of relationships, emphasizing marriage and family.
We have just finished 8 years of living in a motor home, traveling all over the United States which we have loved. Now we are settled at Warm Beach Camp where we volunteer in different areas. Phil loves fishing and playing golf. He does his best discipling on the golf course. We also enjoy watching the Mariners and Seahawks.

We are delighted to join the Ministry Team at North Cascades Christian Fellowship and are looking forward to getting to know all of you better.

We are available for appoints on Tuesday and Sunday afternoons.

Pastor of Student Ministries – SHON BENTLEY

My life forever changed when I read, Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness (Matthew 9:35).  What followed I can only describe as a vision in which the Holy Spirit identified my pastoral calling with the ministry of Jesus.  To Teach.  To Preach.  To Heal.  Since that day I have been consumed by nothing else.

In my current assignment, I serve as the Pastor of Student Ministries.  My hope is to see students, through revelatory prayer and worship, experience truth and power encounters with the Holy Spirit.  This, I believe, will ignite a smoldering generation to rise from the ashes and burn with passion for Jesus.

Pastor Shon has been serving the Free Methodist Church since 1998.  He has held youth, associate, and sr. pastor roles in 5 churches across the Pacific Northwest Conference.  Shon is married and has four children.  As a couple, Shon and his wife enjoy late-night visits to local coffee houses where they discuss prose and poetry, their passion for the Church, and to share their love for one another.  As a family, the Bentley’s like to vacation along the Oregon Coast where they are learning how to fly kites!

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – LEIGH OLSON

I enjoy coming along side others to orchestrate the details of serving and ministering to our church family and our community.
I started working in the church office as bookkeeper, December 2000 and added on some office administration details in the fall of 2002.
Steve and I were married in 1985. We have three daughters and a son-in-law; Tessa and James, Sadie and Rachel.

WORSHIP LEADER – ROB TIFFANY
My wife, Nancy, and I have two adult children, Jody and Jared and together with their spouses, Jason and Sarah, have blessed us with three wonderful grandchildren. The best decision I ever made was to receive salvation from my Lord Jesus Christ who has since blessed me and my family with joy, peace, comfort, love and hope.

My personal involvement with worship ministry has developed slowly over many years with the gracious instruction and encouragement from many. Worshiping our Heavenly Father is a 24/7 proposition and encompasses all we do. I experience real joy in playing and singing for our Lord and am extremely thankful God has called me to honor Him in this ministry.

NORTH CASCADES | MOUNT VERNON – KEITH LIGHT

It’s great to be joining the team. My wife and kids moved to this area nearly three years ago. My hobbies include fishing, cards, and meeting new people. I really enjoy reading, but not fiction so much. History and science keep my attention but nothing compares to the word of God and any discussion surrounding Jesus. I’m currently leading the discussion bible study at N.C. Mt. Vernon. My kids keep me young and my lovely wife keeps me centered.
